Frequently Asked Questions

The right side of our house faces South. South is the sunniest area in the sky where we live. This is the logic explaining why all solar panels should be exposed to the South. The South section of our roof, and the Solar Panels, are not visible from the street in front of our house, but they are visible from the street viewing sideways from the front of the garage area at our next door neighbor's home to the South.

Here is the view from the front of my neighbor's home:

The Solar Panels (dark blue) are to the right and below
the 2 vent pipes at the top left of the picture.  There are
2 groups of 6 panels each separated by about 6 inches to promote air circulation and cooling on hot summer days.

All 12 of our 210 Watt (Sanyo) solar panels are mounted with stainless steel hardware. The output from all panels is DC (direct current) which passes through an inverter and combiner box.

Our Solar Panel Home

The inverter converts the solar energy power to AC (Alternating Current) making it compatible with the electricity provided by our electric company: AEP through PSO, the Public Service Company of Oklahoma.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who am I?

My name is Hugh Brecher, The Power of the Sun is in your hands.I built this website for the same reason that I made a different website back in 2005.   Elaine, my wife, and I bought our little house and moved in in February of 2004. The house was exactly what we wanted except for the "swampy" area adjacent to our cement block patio. We wanted and needed a large brick patio. We decided to deal with the issue and beautify our home by building one. So we searched for the best bricklayer that we could find.

Our bricklayer turned out to be Jerry Cartwright, probably the very best bricklayer in all of Oklahoma.  We were very impressed with the previous masonry and brickwork jobs that he had done for others.  He was obviously a "Master Bricklayer".  We hired him to build ours.  The patio that Jerry built turned out to be very beautiful, Inverter converts DC to ACperfectly graded; a masterpiece.  Elaine and I were so impressed with Jerry's work, and his work ethic, that we built a special website to promote his business as a special "reward" for the excellence that he gave us at no extra charge.  Jerry knows and performs his work with excellence.  His website can be viewed here: TheTulsaBricklayer  Jerry and his wonderful wife, Barbara, have been among our dearest friends since we first met.  Jerry's website is our tribute to him, his skills, his ethics and his personal character.  This website, is our tribute to our new friends the Solar Energy company that designed and installed our entire solar energy system.

Why the name "MySolarEnergyCompany"?

Please understand that we do not own any part of the company that this website is promoting.  We do own the Solar Energy Panels system that they installed for us.  This website pays tribute to and sponsors the Solar Energy company that designed and installed our home Solar Energy system.  The name itself indicates our tribute, pride, and complete satisfaction with all aspects of this excellent company and all of their staff.  "All" means all of the folks that we have encountered during the project and who have each served our best interests in the design and installation of our rooftop solar panels energy system.  We love high technology, especially when it it fun and saves us money on our monthly electric bills.

Make no mistake about this: I am actively promoting (advertising & marketing) the company that designed and installed our Solar Energy system just as I would if it were my solar energy company, and just as I have continued to actively promote Jerry Cartwright's website, TheTulsaBricklayer since 2005.
